William Troy "W.T." Manley

William Troy "W.T." Manley, 78, of Whitt, Texas, died Saturday, May 8, 2010, at his home near Whitt.. Service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, at the Bethesda United Methodist Church with Rev. Noah Baker officiating. Burial will be in the Bethesda Cemetery with Chad Goodwin, Will Manley, Kevin Manley, Daniel Garza, Mike Masterson and Michael Gray serving as pallbearers. Junior Masterson will be honorary pallbearer.. Troy was born Dec. 31, 1931, in Jack County, Texas, near Bryson Community, the son of William Frank and Sara Idella Nichols Manley. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He married Dorothy Gray on Dec. 27, 1951, in Graham, Texas, where they lived until moving to Whitt in 1966. He completed tech school and obtained his Avionics and Piloted Craft License from the FAA and went to work for General Dynamics. He was a member of Mineral Wells American Legion Post 75, the Whitt Masonic Lodge and attended the Pentecostal church.. Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Manley, of Weatherford; sons and daughters and law, Ronnie and Mary Lou Manley, of Mineral Wells, and William and Suzy Manley, of Lakeside, Texas; daughters and son-in-law, Deborah and Mark Petty, of Whitt, and Dorinda Goodwin, of Whitt; grandchildren and spouses, William and Lynn Manley, of Mineral Wells, Kelly and Abalino Monza, of Mineral Wells Jennifer and Wayne Hamlin, of Mineral Wells, Christina and Daniel Garza, of Whitt, Misty Liles, of Whitt, Chad and Dawn Goodwin, of Whitt, and Mindy and Kevin Manley, of Lakeside; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Dewey Manley, of Keller, Texas; sister, Lavurne Morgan, of Graham; and several nieces and nephews.. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Doyle, Joe Ray and Oliver Manley; and a sister, Lavine Manley.. Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
