Wenona Abbott, 88, of Mineral Wells, died July 13, 2010.. Graveside service is 10 a.m. Saturday, July 17, 2010, at Woodland Park Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.. She was born Nov. 1, 1921, in Miles, Texas, to Joe K. and Mary Della Smith. She married O.B. Abbott on April 15, 1939, in Goldsmith, Texas. They retired and moved to Mineral Wells in 1980. She was a devoted member of First Baptist Church and participated in musical and volunteer work, as well as being a very active and devoted member of her Sunday school class.. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda Galbreth, of Mineral Wells; son, Joe B. Abbott, of Odessa, Texas; granddaughters, Sunny Benally, of El Paso, Texas, Laura Abbott, of Dallas, and Chayley Galbreth, of Mineral Wells; great-grandchildren, John Paul and Benjamin Ross, of Dallas, and Faith and Madeline Benally, of El Paso; nieces, Patsy Franke of Castle Rock, Colo.; Beverly Boone, of Miami, Texas; and brother and sister-in-law, J.E. and Dean Abbott, of Mineral Wells.. She was preceded in death by her husband, O.B. Abbott; and a grandson, John Abbott.. Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
