Weatherford, TX - Waymon Terry, 87, of Weatherford, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 13, at North Side Baptist Church Chapel.

Born Aug. 16, 1938, to Lev and Mamie Terry, Waymon, a 1956 graduate of Weatherford, was saved and baptized at North Side Baptist Church. He attended Weatherford College, served briefly in the U.S. Marine Corps, and worked for General Dynamics and the Brewer school district. He spent most of his career at the Safeway and Levels grocery stores and later worked at Brookshire's.

He married Claudette Taylor on Jan. 27, 1961; she preceded him in death in 2003. In 2004, he married Jane Ballard.

Waymon was also preceded in death by brother, Norvall Terry; and sister, Virginia Wallace.

Survivors include his wife, Jane Terry of Weatherford; his daughters, Melissa McKeown and her husband, Tim, of Weatherford, and Michele Campbell Wright of Mansfield; six grandchildren, Terrynce Caleb McKeown, Marshall McKeown, Hannah Jaeschke, Rachel Salters, Kirsten Campbell, and Taylor Wright; nine great grandchildren; and extended family.
