Hudson Oaks, Texas - Dr. Sumant David Kumar, 85, of Weatherford, passed away on March 28, 2026. Born on November 25, 1940, in Hubli, India, he immigrated to the United States in 1970 with his wife, Sheela, and served the Weatherford community as a Family Practice physician for 48 years. He cared for generations of patients with steady hands and a kind heart, offering comfort, dignity, and hope to all who sought his care.

He is survived by his devoted wife Sheela, his loving children Suneel and his wife Grace, Daniel, and Paul, and his cherished grandsons, Ayden and Tristan.

A funeral service will be held on April 4, 2026, at First Methodist Church on 301 South Main Street in Weatherford from 2:00 to 4:00 pm, with a viewing preceding the service at 1:00 pm.
