Stanley Darus Acker, 61, passed away Feb. 29, 2016, in Fort Worth.
Service is 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3, at Northside Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Authon Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home.
He was born Dec. 11, 1954, in Stamford, Texas, the son of Grady and Aleta Casey Acker. He married Frances Taylor on Jan. 9, 1979, in Mineral Wells. He was a longtime resident of Mineral Wells, and a member of Northside Baptist Church, where he served as organist and pianist for over 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Acker; children, Amy Acker and Elijah Acker and fiancé Celia Thomason; and brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Bobbie Acker, all of Mineral Wells; sister and brother-in-law, Carole and Jim Hairston of Keller, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his niece, Lisa Acker.
