Sandra C. (Coffey) Ryan Obituary

Sandra C. (Coffey) Ryan, 84, passed from this life on Wednesday, March 15, 2023. Sandra was born July 16, 1938, in Victoria, Texas to Lawrence Coffey and Isetta Marie (Hadley) Coffey. Following high school, she relocated to the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex with her husband, Clint Allen, where they raised their two sons.

Sandra worked as an executive assistant in the oil and gas industry. She was the personal assistant for many years to Mrs. Anne Burnett Marion who was heir to the 6666 Ranch. She met many influential people through her employment from all walks of life, including the late President George H.W. Bush.

After her retirement she moved to the Texas coast where she met and married Jerry Ryan. Upon the death of her youngest son, she and Jerry relocated to Fort Worth to spend more time with family.

Sandra had many hobbies, including golf, which she enjoyed playing with her husband, sons, grandsons, and friends; mahjong, knitting, needlepoint, and quilting. She won various awards for her needlepoint entries at the Texas State Fair over the years.

Sandra greatly loved her family. She would especially light up when she would see any of her great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Ryan; first husband, Clint Allen; son, Steve Allen; and sister, Beverly Janice Griggs.

Sandra is survived by her son, Jeff Allen (Trayce) of Aledo, Texas; grandchildren, Addison, Kayce, Cameron, and Bryce; great-grandchildren, Joshua, Haisley, and Atticus; brother, Robert (Pat) Coffey of Victoria, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
