Ronnie Alford passed away peacefully Sept. 21, 2007, at the age of 63.

Ronnie grew up in Weatherford, Texas, where he met and fell in love with his wife of 45 years, Vicki. During his early years as a cowboy he would break horses and work in the dairy farms. He owned three large dairy farms in Weatherford. After living in Colorado for a period of time, he and Vicki moved back to Texas and began The Store and Southwest Grill in Ranger. Later they moved to the El Rancho Cafe and have owned it for the past eight years. Ronnie was a true cowboy from the beginning. His days where filled with chocking the cows and shootin' the bull with his friends, and you never saw him without his dogs, Mike and Trick.

Ronnie was preceded in death by his father, James Alford and his brother, Jimmy Alford.

He is survived by his wife, Vicki; two sons, Greg Alford and wife, Donna, and RJ Alford; daughter, Carol Lynn Alford-Newsom and husband, Jerry; grandchildren, Brandi Jones and Dustin Davenport; great-grandchildren, Jordyn and Logan Zarate.

Ronnie will be dearly missed by all that loved him.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Ranger Rodeo Team, care of Ranger College.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at the Merriman cemetery in Ranger.

Visitation will be 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
