WEATHERFORD - Robert R. (Bob) Redding, 86, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family.

Bob was born Feb. 18, 1934, in Paris, Texas to Ray and Hazel Redding. Bob and his family moved to Fort Worth when he was a young child. He graduated from Paschal High School in 1951. Bob joined the U.S. Army after completing his sophomore year at Texas Christian University. After completing his two-year Army enlistment, Bob returned to Fort Worth and worked at Pan American Petroleum Corp. While working at Pan American, Bob met the love of his life, Claudia Pearl Gibson. The two were married on Dec. 20, 1958 and enjoyed over 61 years together. Bob finished his studies at TCU and graduated with a BS in Commerce in 1960. Bob and Claudia welcomed their son, David in 1962 and daughter, Nancy in 1964.
Bob was employed by General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin for 35 years as a Subcontract Management Specialist. He worked on the B-58, F-111, F-16 and F-22 military aircraft programs and retired in 1999. Bob was a big sports fan, especially golf when he was playing with his long-time buddies on the course. The TCU Horned Frogs, Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and Dallas Mavericks were his favorite teams to support during the years.
Survivors: Wife, Claudia; and son, David, both of Weatherford; daughter, Nancy and son-in-law, Raymond; grandson, Jeffrey Morphis of Cedar Park; sister, Carolyn and brother-in-law, Jerry Roy of Fort Worth; sister-in-law, Judith Murrah of North Richland Hills, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
