WILLOW PARK - Robert Jungers, 86, passed away on February 25, 2024.

Rosary/Visitation: 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2024, in Live Oak Chapel at Greenwood, 3100 White Settlement Rd, Fort Worth, Texas 76107.

Funeral Mass: 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at St Stephens Catholic Church, 1802 Bethel Rd., Weatherford, TX 76086. Interment: Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

Robert was born on March 17, 1937, in Green Bay, Wisconsin to parents Fred and Loretta Jungers. He graduated from Appleton West High School. In 1958, Robert married his wife of 62 years, JoAnne. Together they had three children, Mike, Karin, and Aileen.

He served for 22 years in the Air Force, earning final rank M. Sgt. Vietnam Veteran. Robert worked for General Dynamics/Lockheed Martin as a life support specialist for 15 years. His hobbies included: health and fitness (yoga, line dancing, aerobics, and weights) and volunteering at The Hope Chest, Marksmanship where he was part of the top 20 competitors in the 1975 Pan America Games tryouts. He was also an alternate for the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal. He enjoyed it all and even attended monthly Roll Call gatherings with his fellow veterans.

Robert is preceded in death by his parents Fred and Loretta; and his beloved wife, JoAnne.

He is survived by his siblings, John (Phyllis) Jungers, Fred (Joan) Jungers, and Mary Damrow; his children, Mike (Debbie) Jungers, Karin (Jason) Salinas, and Aileen (Lionel) Menchaca. He is also survived by grandchildren, Shelby (Hayden) Norris, Matthew (Blair) Jungers, Louis Menchaca, Mia Menchaca, Dylan and Luke Salinas; great-grandchildren, Lillian and Trenton Frisbee; as well as many nieces and nephews.
