Benbrook, TX - Our beloved mother, Rita Bariga Burnett, passed away on June 16, 2026, surrounded by her family.

She was born on August 28, 1951, in Namiquipa, Chihuahua, Mexico, to Flora and Anastacio Bariga. Rita devoted her life to healing others, dedicating more than three decades to a career in physical therapy, leading her practice Rehab Concepts & Pain Management.

Her caring for others shown brightest through the love of her family and friends.

Rita is survived by her sons, Glenn (wife, Taryn) and Nicholas (fiancé, Danielle); lifelong friend, Maria Mendoza; and god-daughter, Lauren Ramirez.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Birchman Baptist Church, 9100 N Normandale St., Fort Worth, Texas 76116.

The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the selfless teams at MDAnderson Sarcoma Unit, Cambridge Caregivers, AlevCare Hospice, Vitas Healthcare and the Progressive Care Unit at Texas Health Southwest for the exceptional care, compassion, and support shown to Rita during her life.
