Rita Alvarado, age 72, died peacefully Saturday, January 9, 2021. Born July 7, 1948 in Mountainair, New Mexico to Jose and Priscilla Rubi. She graduated from Mountainair High School in 1967. She was married 54 years to the love of her life, Rudy Alvarado and had three daughters. A longtime resident of Mineral Wells, she worked in several retail establishments: Duke and Ayers and JCPenney. In her retirement years, she made rosaries, which she donated to the catholic church. She enjoyed watching cooking shows and her favorite sitcom, Everyone Loves Raymond. She also enjoyed going and finding bargains at garage sales. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Clarence Rubi.

Survivors include her husband, Rudy Alvarado; daughters, Magdaline (Terri) Harris and husband Jeff; Tina Alvarado and husband Jack Crouch; Sara Porter and husband Jeremy; grandchildren; Jordyn and Jason Harris, Isabella Alvarado, Relena and Jacob Porter; family in New Mexico; and very close personal friends.
