FORT WORTH - Raymond T. "Catfish" Smith, 93, went to be with the Lord on Aug. 6, 2023.

Celebration of Life: 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 14, 2023, at Faith Tabernacle Assembly of God, 420 S. Blue Mound Rd., Saginaw. Interment: 12 p.m. Monday at Woodland Park Cemetery, Mineral Wells. Visitation: 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13, 2023, in Greenwood Chapel.

Raymond was born Jan. 15, 1930, in Quitaque, Texas. He loved the Lord first and foremost. He was a devoted husband of 75 years and father to his children. Raymond worked at Texas Steel for 29 years, and also at American Manufacturing Co.

His hobbies were fishing, singing, playing guitar, harmonica, working on anything with motors. Raymond was a member of Faith Tabernacle Assembly Of God, where he served on the church board, was a leader for the Royal Rangers and played guitar in the church orchestra.

Raymond was preceded in death by his son, Jerry Don Smith.

Survivors: Wife, Jeanna B Smith; daughters, Sharon Ghent, Carol Stank, Beverly Reeves and Debbie Smith; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Doris Elliott and Mary Griess; and many nieces and nephews.
