RAYMOND ALMANZA, 42, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016, in Fort Worth. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Rotan, with burial following at Belvieu Cemetery. A rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at the Weathersbee-Ray Funeral Home Chapel.

Born March 30, 1974, in Ennis, Texas, Raymond was the son of Thomas Almanza Sr. and Ramona Martinez. A longtime Rotan resident, he moved to Florida before moving to Mineral Wells in 2003. He worked many jobs over the years. In his spare time, he enjoyed singing, dancing, and bar-b-queing. A family man, Raymond loved spending time with his children and brothers, and playing with his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Ramona Martinez; his granddaughter, Isabel Trejo; one brother-in-law, Bay Velasquez; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Lorene Almanza; two sons, T.J. Flores and Toby Almanza; one daughter, Telinda Trejo; five brothers, Thomas Almanza, Jr. and wife Kristy, George Almanza and wife Chastity, Carlos Almanza and wife Lydia, Paul Almanza and wife Daniella, and Ruben Almanza; two sisters, April Velasquez and Shana Barnett and husband Reynaldo; and seven grandchildren, Sariah, Sarissa, Sarinatee, Saribella, Sariana, Alexander, and Braylee.
