GRANBURY - Nettie Copeland Allen, 93, died Thursday, Sept. 14, 2006, in Fort Worth.


Nettie was born Feb. 6, 1913, in New Nata, Ark., to John and Mary Cooper Copeland. She married Silas Allen Dec. 12, 1929, in Tolar. He passed away in 1993. She made quilts and loved to garden and cook. She was a member of the Granbury Church of Christ.


She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and five sisters.


Survivors include sons, Lee Roy Allen and Donald R. Allen of Weatherford; daughters, Edith W. Allen and Carolyn Myres of Granbury and Sandra Mason of Aledo; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and brother, M.L. Copeland of Burleson.


Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 18, at Granbury Church of Christ, with burial at Rough Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.


Memorials may be made to Arthritis Foundation or Granbury Church of Christ.
