Nancy Jo Godwin Gafford, 91, a loving mother, and grandmother went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016, in Weatherford, with those that love her at her side.

A graveside service is scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday in Ash Creek Cemetery, Azle.

Family will receive friends at the cemetery starting at 1 p.m.

In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grace Hospice.

Nancy was born Feb. 2, 1925, in Dallas to Lewis and Jimmie Zerne Henderson Godwin. They both preceded her in death along with her husband, Ed Gafford and a daughter, Michelle Woodward.

Nancy Jo enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and she loved to garden.

Her family will miss the joy and laughter she brought to their lives.

She is survived by her daughter, Zerne Lance and her husband, Raymond; grandchildren, Tanicca and husband, Craig, Lance and wife, Melissa, Thomas and Waylon; great grandchildren, Brittani, Sladen, Railey, Maverick, Jagger and Taran; and great great grandson, Matthew.
