Weatherford - Maybelle Lynn (Windom) Smith passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, April 28, 2025, after a very short and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 76 years old.

Lynn was born in Fort Worth, Texas, on July 25, 1948, to Madelaine Joan Christian and Benjamin Dave Windom. She graduated from Paschal High School in 1966 and Weatherford College in 1990. She married the love of her life, David Smith, on May 13, 1985 in Estes Park, Colorado. They would have celebrated 40 years of marriage on May 13th. Lynn worked as a financial analyst for Lockheed Martin for 25 years. After retiring in 2015, she and David enjoyed many years of traveling from coast to coast in their RV and cruising to such places as Alaska, Hawaii and the Caribbean. Lynn lived a life dedicated to her family always putting their needs before her own. She was an amazing seamstress, and it gave her such joy to design, make and gift beautiful memory quilts to her family for every birth, marriage, death or just because. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family who will forever cherish the memories they shared.

Lynn is survived by her husband, David; daughter, Lisa Simons (Terry); son-in-law, Dennis Tollett; stepsons, Chris Smith (Kim) and James Smith (Wendy); mother, Madelaine Joan Christian; sisters, Sherry Windom and Joanna Garrett (Jimmy); brother, Shawn Nocita; grandchildren: Colton Tollett (Kristin), Mallorie Hadley (Rick), Chelsea Ortega (Logan), Mackenzie Ingram (Carson), Brittny Spivey (Tarin), Brianna Osborn (Christopher), Trey Barnett (Chloe), Logan Smith, and Charli Smith; thirteen great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lynn was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Lori Tollett; father, Benjamin Windom; sister, Bennidene Stevenson; and brother, Ben Windom.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., on Wednesday, April 30, 2025. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. Both will be held at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, Weatherford, Texas. Burial will be held at Annetta Cemetery immediately following the service.
