Mary Ann Hicks, 80, passed away July 12, 2022 at her home in Mineral Wells. She was born December 5, 1941 in Leuders the daughter of Windell A. and Mary E. Underwood Thomasson. She married Gayle Hicks on November 17, 1956 in Breckenridge. They raised 4 kids on their own Yvonne, Andy, Gene, and Travis. She had lived in Leuders, Weatherford, and Mineral Wells. They owned their own drive inn in Mineral Wells, she also worked as a realtor for Century 21 in Weatherford, and for Peaster ISD as a special ed aid. She was a Baptist. Graveside services will be 10 AM Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Clear Fork Cemetery in Leuders. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sons Andy and Gene Hicks, and brothers: Piner Thomasson and Alfred Ray Thomasson. She is survived by her husband of 66 years: Gayle Hicks, son and daughter-in-law: Travis and Tonya Hicks, daughter and son-in-law: Yvonne and Randy Scoggins, sister and brother-in-law: Jan Dillard and Duane Terrell, niece: Sonia Clamon, great-nieces: Kristen Pittman, Kara Mattocks, and Kayla Mattocks, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and numerous other extended family and friends. The family wishes to thank Kindred Hospice for the care given to their loved one and a special thanks to Jaylon and Summer.
