On January 23, 2025, Madge Helen Houser Kean, 107 years old, passed away at Medical City, Weatherford. Madge has been a resident of Texas for 30 years. She was born January 21, 1918, in Vale, NC, the daughter of the late William Lee Houser and Ida Catherine Hardester Houser. In addition to her parents, Madge was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Aaron Kean; daughter, Glenda Honeycutt Canipe; by 5 sisters, 2 brothers, and 3 half-sisters. Left to cherish her memory is daughter, Norma Hill, of Weatherford, Texas; former son-in law, Ralph Ruth of Georgetown, TX; 3 grandchildren, David Honeycutt (wife Brittany) of Sharpsburg, Md, Michael Ruth of Atlanta, GA and Kathryn Ruth of Fort Worth, TX; 2 great-granddaughters and 3 great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

Madge, a lovely person, always kind, was a favorite of many relatives and friends. She was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by her family, relatives and friends.

According to her wishes, Madge will be cremated. A memorial service will be held in Middle River, MD and her ashes buried there along side her spouse.
