Weatherford, Texas - Scott Kelley, devoted husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

Memorial Service: 11 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Weatherford Presbyterian Church.

Lee "Scott" Kelley was born December 4, 1963, in Fort Worth, Texas, and was adopted by

Hubert and Edna Kelley. Scott grew up in Wichita Falls and later Austin, Texas, where he

developed a lifelong love of nature, science, and learning.

A devoted Christian, husband, and father, Scott loved his family deeply and was passionate

about sharing his faith and knowledge with others. He enjoyed fossil hunting, fly fishing, chess,

history, astronomy, and philosophy. Scott spent his career in the oil and gas industry and retired

from Exxon Mobil in 2020.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna Hickman; stepfather, Don Hickman; and stepmother, Ruth Kelley.

Scott is survived by his wife, Taresa Kelley; his children, Jessica Nicole Brown, Trevor Daniel

Kelley, and Joshua Lee Kelley; his father, Hubert Kelley; his sister, Krispen Thielepape (Sam);

numerous extended family members and friends.
