San Antonio, TX - Kenneth Earl Fisher, known to family and friends as Ken, passed away on August 17, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Alta Kaye Fisher. He is survived by his daughter, Machele Fisher-Haskin; son in law, Rick Haskin; grandson, Ricky Haskin; son, Bill Fisher; and his daughter-in-law, Yvette Fisher.

He served with honor in the Arizona and California Air National Guard, on active duty with the United States Air Force, and retired from the USAF Reserve as a Master Sergeant. His responsibilities as an electronics technician included supporting early nuclear weapons testing at Eniwetok Atoll in the south Pacific Ocean and airborne radar surveillance missions in Vietnam.

Ken worked as an Electronics Engineer with General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin Corporation in Fort Worth, Texas. Beginning in 1969, he performed as a Field Service Engineer on the F-111 at Cannon AFB, New Mexico and Plattsburgh AFB, New York, and then on the F-16 at Beauvechein and Kleine Brogel Air Bases, Belgium. He returned to Fort Worth in 1983, where he worked on several advanced projects, including the VISTA and AFTI F-16s, and early designs on the Advanced Technology Fighter (F-22) and the Joint Strike Fighter (F-35).

He was elected to the Willow Park City Council in 1994, where he served for two years. He was active as an adult leader in the Boy Scouts of America, and served as Vice President of the Aledo Chapter of the Lions Club International. He was also an active member of the Aledo United Methodist Church, where his faith was nurtured and shared through worship and Christian fellowship.

A graveside service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on September 9, at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, TX.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on September 11, at Aledo United Methodist Church, 100 Pecan Drive, Aledo, TX.
