Granbury, Texas - Judy Mae Mitchell, 83, passed away on Monday, August 21,2023 at her home in Granbury. She was born April 3, 1940, in Chicago, Illinois to Edward Sylvester Wendt and Theodora Marcella Dabasinskas Wendt.

Judy was a longtime member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Mineral Wells where she was very active and involved with church activities. She enjoyed crocheting and making blankets for her family. Judy adored and loved her little dog T. J. dearly, and she also "loved her Godiva Chocolates". She had great interest in her family tree and genealogy.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alonzo Edward Mitchell and a nephew, Gregg Heinemann.

She is survived by her two sons, Brian Mitchell and wife Michelle, and Mark Mitchell; grandchildren, Anthony and Emily Mitchell, Destiny, Devin, and Makayla; her sister, Louise Heinemann and by her nephews, Gordon, Gary, Lee, and Layne.

Visitation will be from 10am-11am, Monday, August 28, 2023, at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury.

Funeral services will be held at 11am, Monday, August 28, 2023, at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel in Granbury with private graveside services following at Woodland Park Cemetery in Mineral Wells.
