Joy Stephens Gamble Allen, 84, of Decatur passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at her residence. Funeral service: 11 a.m, Tuesday, October 30, 2018 in Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Memory Gardens. Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home. Memorial may be made to Hilltop Assembly of God 1670 East State Hwy 114, Boyd, Texas 76023. Joy was born August 27, 1934 in Italy, TX to Rev. Earl and Lura Hall Stephens. She loved to garden, cook, do puzzles and bake. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, A.C and Sal Hall and her step-daughter, Patricia Taylor.

Joy's message:

"My life was filled with much joy and sadness. I loved my family. My wish was that my family will live for God and meet me in heaven. All is forgiven of mistakes made and God forgives. I love all of you."

Joy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Charles Allen; children, Cathy Kuzell and spouse John Kuzell, Chris Gamble and spouse Cheryl Gamble; step son in law, Rickey Taylor; grandchildren, Stephanie Flores, Timothy Kuzell, Jennifer Jennings and Wendy Coats; step grandchildren, Rhonda Rhodes, Charles Taylor, Richard Taylor, Jerry Taylor and Kylissa Taylor and many great and great-great grandchildren
