Jim Wakefield, 60, passed away Tuesday, May 22, 2007.


Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 25, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Burial will be 2 p.m. Thursday, May 31, at Andersonville National Cemetery, Andersonville, Ga. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday with Rosary at 7 p.m. at White's Azle Funeral Home.


Jim was born Nov. 17, 1946 in Missouri and moved to Texas in the 80s after retiring from the U.S. Air Force. He and Jeanie Humphrey were married May 14, 2003. He was actively involved in the Irish community and was a member of Holy Trinty Catholic Church. Jim received his BS in Business Administration from Columbia College Sunday, May 20.


Survivors include wife, Jeanie Wakefield; sons, James Wakefield Jr., Justin Wakefield; daughters, Jeanna Wakefield-Hamilton, Kali Wakefield, Kasi Wakefield; 12 grandchildren; mother, Ann Wakefield; brothers, Daryl Stafford, Robert Wakefield; sister, Elizabeth Wakefield; and a host of family and friends.
