Jerry Guin Adkins, 64, of Weatherford, died Tuesday evening, Jan. 22, 2013.. No service is planned at this time.. He was born Feb. 16, 1948, in Sweetwater and was a resident of Weatherford for several years. He grew up in Sweetwater and graduated from high school in Abilene. Jerry was an Army Vietnam veteran and bus driver. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and will be missed by all. He is now home with the Lord.. Survivors include his loving wife of 15 years, Karen Adkins; children, Christiana Adkins, Wendy Ringer and husband, Jeremy, Charlie Adkins, Kristin Conway, Alicia Martinez and husband, Eduardo, Kayleigh Adkins and Coy Adkins; mother, Mary Cotton; siblings, Bobby Adkins and wife, Lucille, Sylvia Roden and husband, James, Beverly Watson and husband, Hugh, and J.T. Wright; 14 grandchildren and expecting one in July; special friend, John Conway; and numerous other family and friends.. He was preceded in death by his father, Preston Adkins; and a son, Luis Martinez Jr.. Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel
