James "Jimmy" R. Hardin, 72, of Weatherford, passed away late Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at Kindred Hospital in Fort Worth.. Graveside services celebrating his life will be held at 2 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 10, at Annetta Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening, Dec. 9, from 5 until 8, at the Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford.. Jimmy was born May 11, 1943 in Weatherford, Texas to Johnny and Courtney Hardin. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict serving aboard the USS Hornet. He enjoyed fishing. Most of all, Jimmy cherished time spent with his family.. Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Alisha (Wesley) Hutchings of Weatherford; special friend, Sandra Boucher; granddaughters, Amanda Thrash (fiancée, Jeremiah Dinwinddie) and Courtney Jahn (fiancée, Jeremiah Grover); great-grandson, Cameron Thrash; brothers, Jerry (Kathy) and Thomas Hardin; and by numerous nieces and nephews.. In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his siblings, Jessie Berry, Billy Hardin and Donald Hardin.. Galbreaith Pickard in charge of arrangements.
