Helen Burgess Adcock, 81, of Weatherford, passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 19, 2011 in a local care facility. Helen was born Dec. 23, 1929 in Azle, Texas to Bessie and H. C. Burgess.. Bessie graduated from Azle High School and attended North Texas State in Denton. She was a retired vice president of the Educational Employees Credit Union in Weatherford. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Weatherford. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She loved to play bridge and was active with several groups. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.. Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Sam Adcock; a son, John Mark Adcock and a brother, Claude Burgess.. Survivors include her son, Eric Adcock and wife, Dawn; grandsons, Matt, Josh and Ben all of Nocona; siblings, Edna Merle Burgess of Fort Worth, Dorothy Futch of Weatherford, Sam Burgess and wife, Peggy of Weatherford and Joe Burgess and wife, Lynne of Benbrook; sister-in-law, Eva Burgess of Dallas and numerous nieces and nephews..
