Elbert Willard Eisenburg Sr. (Ike)

Elbert Willard Eisenburg Sr. (Ike) was born to George and Lottie Eisenburg on Feb. 8, 1931, in Douglasville, Ga.. He served in the United States Army for 24 years. He earned the Bronze Star, Three Overseas Service Bars, The Vietnam Service Medal three times, The Republic of Vietnam Combat Metal and Six Good Conduct Medals.. Ike married Valera Putman on Feb. 2, 1952, and she preceded him in death after 31 years of marriage. He married Julia Best on June 10, 1998.. Upon retirement from the U.S. Army, he moved his family to Mineral Wells. He worked at Centron for 20 years where he once again retired. Ike lived and resided in Mineral Wells until he passed from this life on Friday, May 17, 2013, at a Fort Worth hospital.. He is survived by his wife, Julia Eisenburg; son, Elbert Willard Eisenburg Jr. and wife, Sandia, of Millerton, Iowa; son, Donald Wayne Eisenburg Sr. and wife, Mary, of Mineral Wells; daughter, Carol Susan Patterson, and husband, Jerry, of Mineral Wells; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at White's Funeral Home, 101 N.E. 4th Ave. Mineral Wells. Interment will follow with full military honors at Holders Chapel Cemetery in Parker County. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. before the service.

Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
