Edith Elaine Dodson Minton Obituary
Edith Elaine Dodson Minton was born October 12, 1947 to Ernest Linwood and Bonnie Turner Dodson. She passed away March 2, 2022, at her home in Perrin.
Elaine grew up in Perrin and attended Perrin Schools where she was a basketball standout, and homecoming queen of her 1966 class.
Elaine returned to her alma mater where she served as cafeteria cook and supervisor, and custodian. She retired in 2012. She loved her school, being around the kids, and lived by the school motto, Once a Pirate, always a Pirate!
In February 1996, Elaine's cancer journey began. She fought a courageous battle for 26 years, enduring a newly FDA approved chemo in hope it would help her and others. She was truly a Warrior Princess.
Many will fondly remember Elaine for her years of teaching VBS at her beloved Spark Springs Church, her delicious chocolate and coconut pies, her beautiful voice, and her dedication to serving the Lord.
