Dovie Absher, 95, of Weatherford, passed away Monday, Sept. 29, 2014, at a local nursing home.. There are no services scheduled at this time.. Dovie was born April 1, 1919, in Lueders, Texas to Grady and Dora Poston Roberts. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist church.. Dovie was preceded in death by her husband, Don; parents; daughter, Diane Creel; and son Tony Absher.. Her survivors include her son, Jerry Absher and wife, Thresa, of Peaster; grandchildren, Alicia Herr and husband, Michael, of Corsicana, and Jared Absher and wife, Amanda, of Boerne, Thyra Futrell and husband, Lee, of Benton, Kentucky, Chayla Hamilton and Greg Davis; and four great grandchildren..
