David Alford, 46, a loving father and grandfather, of Springtown passed away Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007, in Azle, Texas.

Born Dec. 9, 1960, in Sacramento, Calif., son of James E. and Dorothy M. Harris Alford, David was reared in Parker County. He was a team roper, loved reading, movies and was a pro at the game of "Jeopardy." Currently, David served as president of the Reno Citizens for Better Government. Known as a family man, David loved his family very much and will be remembered not only for his caring and loving nature but his high work ethic.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Alford in 2002.

David is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Walker and husband, Jeremiah, of Trinity; sons, David Tyler Alford and James Daniel Alford, both of Weatherford; granddaughters, Alexandria Walker, Angel Walker; mother, Dorothy Henderson and husband, Reginal, of Weatherford; sisters, Linda Eadie and Sandie Morgan and husband, Jerry, of Aledo; nephews, Jerrod Morgan, Trevor Morgan, Dalton Eadie; and a host of loving family and friends.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, at White's Chapel of Memories in Weatherford. Burial will follow in the Annetta Cemetery. The family will receive guests 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
