As his granddaughter we as a family are grieving the loss of an amazing grandfather. He was always there for us and would do anything we needed without even having to ask him. As for some that think this is the place to call people out. I have been in Darrell’s life for 30 years and never once have I ever seen or heard of these people. That is the truely sad part that people use others grief to make themselves feel better. I do know that Darrell was a loving man and devoted to his family. Anybody that is his family and knew him knows that. Miss you and love you!

It breaks my heart to find about about the passing of Uncle Darrell. I had nothing but love and respect for that man. We would always kid about who was uglier so therefore the nickname Uncle Ugly came about. I just don’t understand why the immediate family was not notified or even mentioned in the obituary. His sister and brother ,Betty and Wendell found out through a mutual friend. What did he do that was so wrong, they would not have a memorial service to bring family together to celebrate his life here on earth. Truly a shame.

I’m so sad to hear of the passing of my Uncle Darrell. Such a sad thing to find out from a mutual friend of this tragic event.
Praying hard for the family Linda refused to inform and who are struggling with grief.
Also would like to add that he has a brother, a sister and several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
