Billy Dee Alcorn, 85, loving husband, father, and Papa, passed away May 3, 2014.. Service is 2 p.m.,Tuesday, May 6, at Salesville Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Salesville Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Monday at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home.. Billy was born June 1, 1928, in Slaten, Texas, to Delbert and Susie Pearl Grantham Alcorn. He was a member of Graford Lions Club, president of Salesville Cemetery, deacon and song leader at Salesville Baptist Church and served in the Korean War 1950-1952. Billy was a rural mail carrier for 39 years and worked for Graford ISD for 15 years as "Jack of All Trades." He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Doris Massie Alcorn; children, Bill Alcorn Jr., and wife, Vicki, of Holly Lake, Sue Watkins and husband, Donnie, of Mineral Wells; grandchildren, Keisha Trammell and husband, J.W., of Graford, Jeremy Alcorn and Josh Alcorn, of Brownwood, Michelle Edwards, of Haskell, Kim Bronaugh, of Haskell, and Jennifer Dement, of Anson; great-grandchildren, Kasen Trammell, Kate Trammell and Cash Bronaugh; best friend, Robert D. Herring; special caregivers, Marina Cook, Carla Cobb, Debbie Jones, Anna Garrett, and Cindy Maness; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.. Condolences may be left at www.bcbfuneralhome.com.. Plant a tree: How does it work
When your purchase is complete, a post will be made on the tribute wall of the deceased signifying the planting of a memorial tree.
An official certificate recognizing your purchase will be included with your email receipt. You can then forward the email to the family or print it and give it to them personally.
After an order is placed, our forestry partners will plant the tree in the area of greatest need (nearest the funeral home), according to the planting schedule for the year.
Due to seasonal conditions, the tree planting takes place during the spring and summer.

Orders placed in:
January - May
Planting will take place in Spring or Summer of the same year.
June - December
Planting will take place in Spring of the following year.
