Millsap, TX - Bettie Ruth (Thomas) Owen, affectionately known as Granny, passed away on July 25, 2025, in Mineral Wells, Texas. She was preceded in death by her father Elzie Sherman Thomas, mother Gussie Marie (Lack) Thomas, beloved husband, Richard Owen (Palpa), & her brother, Bill Thomas. Bettie is survived by her brothers, Glen and Terry Thomas; her children, Ricky, Michael, Timothy Owen, & Theresa Shaw; her grandchildren, Brandon, Justin Nicholas, Shannon, Kyle, Wesley, Shawn, Shane & Randy Owen, Stephanie Mitchell, April Rogers, Karen Owen-Sierra, Shane Shaw, Becky Beck, Russell and Devin Cokenour, Jaime Shaw (passed), Tammy Holcomb & Chase Henderson; Numerous great & great-great grandchildren. Granny's warmth and love will forever remain in the hearts of her family. A service to celebrate her life will be held at Poe Prairie Cemetery in Millsap, Texas, on September 27, 2025, at 2:00 PM.
