Teddy Ray Driskill, 74, of Weatherford, went to be with his Savior on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 27, 2016.
Funeral services celebrating his life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, 2016, at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel, 913 N. Elm Street, in Weatherford.
Burial will follow at East Greenwood Cemetery.
Teddy was born on Dec. 26, 1942, in May, Texas to Raymond and Magdalene Driskill. Music was his passion and he was a professional musician by trade. He was lead guitar player with many bands. Teddy affected the lives of many through his music. He was a member of the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame. Teddy will affectionately be remembered for his infectious laugh and his passion for life. Teddy cherished time spent with his family, particularly his grandchildren.
Teddy is survived by his wife, Sandra; children, Bryan Driskill; step-children, Tracy Hartsfield, Parker Driskill, and Kevin Driskill; grandchildren, Breck, Bailey, and Bryan Driskill; step-grandchildren, Derek, Stephanie, and Nick Driskill, Brandon and Frankie Driskill and Cole Hartsfield.
In addition to his parents, Teddy was preceded in death by his sister, Tody Lowrance and by his brother, Raymond Poage Driskill.
