Ronnie Russell Phillips Sr., age 69, of Weatherford passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2016.
Ronnie was born Feb. 7, 1947, in Fort Worth to Rev. William P. & Margaret Phillips. Ronnie was a contract welder for TXI and Martin Marietta for 38 years. His greatest joy in life was his ability to give of himself to so many, not only family but friends. He had a great love of music, being an accomplished guitarist. Ronnie loved being a support in sending kids to Youth Camp in memory of his sons Russell and Rusty Phillips who preceded him in death. He was a member of Westwood Christian Fellowship.
Ronnie was survived by his loving wife, Debbie Bideler Phillips; daughter, Kimmy Roberts and husband Troy and five grandchildren, all of Houston; father, Rev. William P. Phillips; brother, Johnny Phillips and wife Norma; sister, Joan Phillips Rockwell and husband Richard, all of Weatherford; loving nieces, nephews and numerous extended family members.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his, sons, Ronnie Russell Phillips Jr. and Rusty William Phillips; mother, Margaret Tate Phillips; and grandparents A.R. & Lulu Boyd Tate.
Memorial service: 11 a.m., Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, at Westwood Christian Fellowship in Weatherford. Visitation: 10 a.m., Friday morning prior to service.
Private burial at a later date.
