Mildred May Pope, 88, of Weatherford, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2016, at Holland Lake Nursing & Rehab in Weatherford.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service celebrating her life will be private.
Mildred was born Dec. 15, 1927, in Fort Worth, to Samuel Authur and Ibby Inglis. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, caring for all animals, and was a wonderful seamstress. Mildred loved everyone and was loved by everyone. She and her husband owned The Flying P Ranch Cycle Park in north Parker County. Most of all, she cherished time spent with her family, particularly her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Mildred leaves behind her children, Joy Rickey, Judy Wolf, and Joe Russell; grandchildren, Tina and Jake Bono; grandchildren, Ashely, Michael, and Colton Abrams, and by her great-grandchildren, Kyra, Jacob, and Carley.
In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Leggett Russell and William Bill Howard Pope.
