Mary Gail's Story
Mary Gail Thomas (Anderson), age 78, passed away, after a long battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis, on Friday, September 15, 2017 in The Woodlands, Texas. She was born on August 16, 1939, in Brock, Texas to William "Bill" and Dora Anderson.
Mary attended Brock High School and graduated in 1957, marrying the love of her life, Jack Thomas later that year. Mary attended the University of Texas graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1977. She worked passionately at numerous hospitals in Fort Worth and Alaska during her career.
Mary and Jack moved to Alaska in the late 1980's living there several years on their next great adventure together.
Mary leaves behind her son Daniel, his wife Jerri and their daughter Sarah of The Woodlands, Texas; 2 grandchildren from her daughter Kelly, Michael Rech, of Fort Worth and Candice Rech of Denver, CO., and 2 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Harold Anderson of Granbury, Texas, and numerous cousins, family members and a host of friends.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Couts Methodist Church on Friday, September 22, at 11:00.
The family would like to thank Silverado Hospice for the great care they provided Mary in her final months, as well as her caregivers at Helen's Cottage.
