Irene's Story

Text size

Irene Rose Lucette Outhey Duncan is now resting with her Lord and family that preceded her into the Kingdom.
She arrived in San Francisco June 25, 1945 and lived in Pennsylvania before traveling the east coast as a military wife until 1956 when she moved to Texas. She lived in Mineral Wells until 1987 when she moved to the western edge of Parker County with her middle son to continue as his caregiver.
Irene loved her Bingo and was a regular player with her Bingo friends in Mineral Wells up until 2016. After the passing of her son in 2013 her health began a gradual decline and she slowly had to give up some of her favorite things like Bingo and taking care of her flowers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter H. Duncan and son, Richard L. Gibbins.
Irene is survived by a daughter, Olga J. Lyons; sons, Lynn W. Gibbins and Kenneth A. Gibbins Jr,; grandchildren, Yvette Lyons, Timothy Honsinger, Amy Dobs, April Gibbins, Hud Gibbins, Romy Sears, Heather Hatfield, K.W. Gibbins; and multiple great grandchildren.
Irene's last year was medically difficult and she now resides amongst family and friends that preceded her passing.
Memorial services are pending and a date will be forthcoming.
Thanx mom, we love you.
