Billie's Story

Willie Edith "Billie" Murrell passed away peacefully Wednesday, May 3, 2017.
Born Dec. 19, 1919, in Parker County, she lived there her entire life. She was a retired businesswoman and cosmetology teacher for WISD starting the program in 1970. She loved her family, her church, caring for others, cooking, sewing, and her home. She did for others without want for recognition from caring for shut-ins, to raising grandchildren, to reading to kids at the library. She was a fine Christian.
Willie is survived by daughter, Debbie Lowrence; son, Tom; many grand, great and great-great grandchildren.
Willie is preceded in death by her parents, John and Rosa Moughon; 10 brothers and sisters; husband Randall; son, Bill; and daughter, Mary Wood.
Graveside service: 10 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2017, at Curtis Cemetery. Pastor Matt Hall, Couts UMC, is officiating.
Galbreaith-Pickard in charge of arrangements.
