W. D. "Bud" Choate went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 15, 2017.
Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, March 25 at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Bible Church in Willow Park.
He was born Dec. 29, 1934 in Nacogdoches. He married Myrna Casler on Jan. 28, 1955. He valued his family and his relationship with the Lord above all else.
He served in the US Army, was a TCU graduate, Vice President/Controller of PACTEL Corporation and built a successful accounting practice in Burleson. He and his family were long-time members of Worth Baptist Church, where he served on the official board and as treasurer, before moving membership to Wedgwood Baptist and later to Trinity Bible Church. His greatest accomplishment was being a wonderful "Poz" to his five grandchildren.
His quiet demeanor and gentle smile were indicative of his love for the people around him. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Myrna; son, Brent and wife, Stephanie, and their children, Tiffanie Limbrick, Samantha Park, and Kevin; son, Bryan and wife, Julie and their children, Ben and Brittin; and a brother, John and family, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
His father and mother, Cecil and Anna Belle Choate, of Weatherford and a brother, Bob, preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to the Lewy Body Dementia Association, 912 Killian Hill Road, S.W., Lilburn, GA 30047 or at www.lbda.org.
Interment was March 20 at DFW National Cemetery.
