So sorry to hear of Perry's passing. He was a very nice young man.
I watched him grow from a young boy to a man. He was so kind and
loved everyone. When I think of Perry I think of his beautiful smile.
It always made me happy. Love to all the family. Hugs to Harold.
Love this family.

You were always a bright star at Azle High School! You truly listened, cared, and went beyond for your students and they (we) were lucky to know you! Every time I had the opportunity to get together with you you were bragging about your son. You loved him so much and that will never change no matter where you are! You are gone too soon! You have made A lasting impression on so many and made a true difference. You will be missed!

I am like so many in that I am at a total loss for words. From about 7th grade through HS most of my memories included Perry in some way. We lived a few miles from each other out in the country so for awhile he was a my chauffeur! We always had fun riding around and we could usually be found at the Megargel Gym playing basketball.. although like many childhood friends you lose touch, but getting to catch up and visit through FB was such a blessing. Perry you were an amazing man and have left a void in many lives. Love and prayers to all the family! Love always your little sis❤️

Perry, you were more than just a principal to work for, you were a friend. Words cannot describe how thankful I am to have gotten to know you and the support you have given me. I remember the day you called me and invited me to Baird for an interview, and it just turned into a natural, laid-back conversation that would later lead to me starting my teaching career. Thanks to you, I got to start my teaching career at Baird. It was a joy to have had the chance to work there, and receive the support and guidance from you. It was also a joy to have gotten to teach Jathan while I was at Baird. I know you thought highly of him, and I did too. I knew you were so proud of him for his accomplishments.... I really appreciated your guidance, positive outlook on life, and your support, especially when I went for that Masters in Administration. It probably would have never happened if it wasn’t for you and Susan (and my family too). But I really am grateful and blessed to have known such a great man as you. I thought highly of you, and so did my family. I appreciated everything you have done for me and cannot thank you enough for being an influence in my life during my teaching career. You will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family, and especially to Jathan. Rest In Peace, Perry.Read more

What an amazing person you were on this earth. As i read all the tributes, and stories your friends have shared, I know one thing and that is, you touched so many lives. I am thankful for I got to know you and share memories from so long ago. Now may you rest in sweet peace without pain, dance like no one is watching. I pray God brings comfort to those who mourn your passing.

Perry, I will forever cherish every moment we had together. You were always such a true friend to me. I believe God put you in my life when I needed you most. We met by accident and to think I found my best friend. I only had you for a little while in this life. You come from such a beautiful family.... And it has been a privilege and an honor to know everyone in your life. I do not think you know how many lives you touched. Your students always admired how much you cared and the big differences you made. Your #1 was your son.... Jathan...he was truly your heartbeat. Almost every breath out of your mouth was always bragging about what a great kid he is. You constantly proved your love throug...h sacrifice...always being so selfless, and worrying about everyone else. My heart pours out to this family. I'm praying for peace and comfort for you all. Hang on to every memory... Perry is for sure an angel watching over us now. I will love you always Perry. Until we meet again...Read more

What a wonderful man!! Vice principal for my daughters. Always, always looking out for the student!! Very supportive to parents and encouraging. After a few years ran in to him recently and had the nicest conversation and heard the praise and love he had for his son. My sympathy to the family. Too young too soon, will be missed.
