Peggy's Story

Text size

Peggy Jean "P. J." Webb passed away on Nov. 9, 2016, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
Peggy graduated from Polytechnic High School in Ft. Worth. She was one of the first female cheerleaders at UT Austin, and also a cheerleader at North Texas. She was later a baseball wife with four small children in tow during baseball season.
Peggy taught primary school in Ft. Worth and Dallas for many years, always helping those less fortunate. She obtained her Masters degree while raising her four kids. After retiring, she continued her love of education with senior education classes, where she met many new friends. Later, she moved to Weatherford with her daughter, Becky, and became involved with the Parker County Heritage Society, Parker County Women's and Newcomer's Club, and local yoga and tai chi classes, where she made even more new friends. Her large family was always very important to her, and she spent many happy hours with them in her retirement. There are many, many wonderful memories.
Peggy was always physically active as a runner, and later in life as a walker, usually with her two beloved dogs. She was always vivacious, full of life, and loved by everyone. Her motto was "Live each day to the fullest, as if it were your last" (which she did). She touched many lives, and we will all truly miss her. We love you Peggy!
We wish to give a special thanks to the staff at College Park Rehab and Solaris Hospice Care, who cared so lovingly for Peggy.
She is survived by her four children and their spouses, Becky Tompkins Tripp, Bob Tompkins and spouse, Carolyn Chalmers, Sandy Tompkins, and Luanne Tompkins and spouse, Tom Prado; five grandchildren and their spouses, Rachel Stark and spouse, Greg Stark, Ben Tripp and spouse, Kelli Tripp, Yarry Gonzalez, Ian Gonzalez, and Erika Bridges and spouse, Andrew Bridges; and twelve great-grandchildren, Bailey Tripp, Blair Bettis and finance, Jeremy Caldwell, Hudson Stark, Fletcher Stark, Elle Tripp, Phoebe Tripp, Ember Gonzalez, Indigo Gonzalez, Brant Bridges, Brooke Bridges, Blaine Bridges, and Jake Bridges.
Arrangements are in care of White's Funeral Home - Weatherford.
