Patsy Ruth's Story
Patsy Ruth Berrier, age 82, of Weatherford, passed away early Monday morning in Weatherford.
She was born Oct. 18, 1934 in Waxahachie, to Otis and Buna Belle (Carter) Guthrie. Patsy retired as an executive secretary with Farmer Brothers Coffee Company. She had also worked at the Plymouth Park United Methodist Church in Irving as a secretary and she did service work taking in shut-ins and caring for the community. She had also participated in children's programs at the Oak Haven United Methodist Church in Irving. Patsy liked to travel and her hobbies were sewing, cooking and entertaining family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Russell Berrier, of Weatherford; son, Russell Berrier II and wife, Sharon, of Weatherford; daughter, Lisa Patterson, of Eagle, Colorado; grandchildren, Brooklynn Stapleton, Charles Berrier and wife, Debra, Dearl Berrier, Garrison Patterson, Carson Patterson; and great grandchildren, Clay, Ashlynn, Addison, Jaxon, Bray and one on the way; two sisters, Betty Burks and Carol Lineback and husband, Bill.
Patsy was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Buna Guthrie.
Visitation for family and friends will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home, 511 W. Main St., Waxahachie, TX 75165. 972-937-2211.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 in the chapel of the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Apple officiating.
Interment will follow at the Forreston Cemetery.
