Linnie Lorraine Walker Corbin went home to her Heavenly Father to enjoy everlasting peace and eternal life on Monday, April 9, 2018.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 14, 2018 at Avenue C Church of Christ in Burkburnett. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. at the Poe Prairie Cemetery in Millsap, Texas under the direction of Owens and Brumley Funeral Home of Burkburnett.
Lorraine was born on March 13, 1931 to Stonewall Jackson and Linnie Lee (Henderson) Walker. She grew up on a farm in the Poe Prairie Community just south of Millsap, Texas. There she discovered her love for both vegetable and flower gardening. She was the last surviving child of the Walker family. Lorraine went to school at Millsap for all twelve years where she was an avid basketball player, like all of her brothers.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, and two sisters.
Lorraine is survived by her husband of forty seven years, William C.C. Corbin of Burkburnett; daughter Glenda Bullard and husband Martin of Weatherford; granddaughters Angela Lorraine Stemple and husband Max, and Alayna Lee Lawrence and husband Adam, and great-grandson Samuel Clay Stemple, all of Weatherford; as well as step-children Sharon and Kevin.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Lorraine's name to the Alzheimer's Association, or the charity of your choice.
