Linda Jean Wiggs, 78, lifetime resident of Weatherford, passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus early Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at her home. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 2 P.M., on Friday, October 13, 2017, at Capstone Church, 4600 Veterans Parkway, in Benbrook.
Linda was born on October 3, 1939 in Weatherford to Elmo and Nella Johnson. Linda married Marx Wiggs on February 12, 1960 and together celebrated 56 years of marriage! She was a life-long member of the Artistic Garden Club of Weatherford. In her youth, Linda was a member of the Couts United Methodist Church and was currently a member of Capstone Church in Benbrook. She loved Country Western Dancing and listening to Country Gospel Music. She loved her dogs. Most of all, Linda cherished time spent with her family and particularly enjoyed family gatherings.
Linda is survived by her sister, Shari Scoggin; her brother, Mike Johnson and wife Darbi; niece, Pam Gruben; nephews, Phil Vandagriff and wife, Allison, Scott Johnson and wife Amelia, Matt Johnson, and Ryan Johnson and wife Paige; and by many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Marx in 2016; and by her brother, Sonny in 2006.
