Leslie (Les) Mungle Jr. passed away after a long and happy life on April 19, 2017. At his request all services will be private.
Les was born May 11, 1932 in Carbondale, Illinois. He proudly and honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. His foreign service included tours of duty in Korea, Japan, and Antarctica. After his discharge he continued to serve as a Master Sargent in the Army Active Reserve. He was a graduate of Weatherford College and received a BBA degree from North Texas State University. Les then embarked on a 34 year career with a major insurance firm rising to the position of Senior Vice President. After retiring in 1992 he returned to Weatherford. He is a long time active member of First United Methodist Church and served as a Stephen Minister. He was also a long time volunteer and served as a board member at Manna Storehouse.
Les is survived by his wife Bobbie of 64 years, sons Jerry, Gary, and Kriss, and brother Ralph and their families.
