Juana Maria Mata Maldonado, 55, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017, after a courageous battle with ALS. She was born Aug. 27, 1961 in Mexico City, Mexico to Pedro Mata Garcia and Julia Castillo Altamirano. Juana was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church. She was a custodian for Weatherford ISD for 16 years.
Survivors include her husband, Isaias Maldonado; daughters, Alba Maldonado and Elva Maldonado, both of Weatherford; grandchildren, Cristopher Requena, Joseph Requena, Natalia Idaly Requena; sisters, Leonor Mata, Nolberta Mata Castillo, Maria del Refugio Mata; brothers, Vicente Castillo Garcia, Isidro Mata Castillo, Eduardo Mata Castillo, Modesto Mata Castillo, and Juan Francisco Mata Castillo; a host of family and friends.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel with Rosary at 7 p.m.
Mass will be 2 p.m. Friday, May 19 at St. Stephen Catholic Church with burial following at East Greenwood Cemetery.
