Joyce Jones Ezell passed to Heaven on Jan. 25, 2017, after a 25-year battle against cancer. She was known to the long-time residents as the Safeway Cashier; to the scores of school kids as the Lunch Lady; and to the little ones she cared for and rocked to sleep as GG.
Joyce was born in Jones County, Texas, 1935, to Claud and Mary B. Mitchell Jones.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James T. Ezell; her parents; brother, Maurice and sister, Iva Nell Wilson.
Joyce is survived by her sister, Velda Baker with Mike Young; sons, Larry Ezell with Debbie Walden and John Ezell with Vickie; daughter, Mary Baker with Tim; grandchildren, Heather, Ryan, Kyle, Keith, Kara, Chelsea, Thomas, Lindsay, Charlotte, Brandi, Misti and Angie; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Mason, Cylas, Logan, Kaleb, Aedan, Kristian, Damien, Kaiden, Korbyn, Hattie, Samantha, Dara, Lily and Dylan.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, in the Chapel of NorthSide Baptist Church, 910 North Main Street, Weatherford.
