Among our best memories as children, were those at the Granary near Milesville. Granny Pearl (Grandle) came to help as we emptied the grain storage building of blue and red rat poison so that we could live there for the summer wihle Dad built the Elshire house in Milesville. Truly an adventure with a capitol A. I will never forget the joy and enthusiasum with which all the youngsters ran into the fast moving creek where we got our drinking, water and bathing water, chased fish as they fairly flew upstream, and escaped for daily adventures — including the one when we got lost with me in charge of of everyone under the age of eight. We followed the creek, ending up where Daddy was at work his crew on the nealy completed house. It was only about 7 miles away from where we were living, but Granny got so angry she went home, sending in her place a supply of Montgomery Ward catalogs as it was now evident that three of us would have to be ennrolled in the country school as the project could never be finished in time. The country school was a whole other story and we endured with the pot belly stove and the outhouses with cresent shaped moons for ventilation into the next semester when Pat and Mike began their mandatory educational pursuit. So many memories, so much energetic fun. Blessings to all who loved my little Brother, and for that matter, those who loved all of my Brothers and finally, My baby Sister. JudyRead more

Carol, Scott, James and Jason, I am truly sorry your loss. Your father was a great man and will be greatly missed. I have many memories of being around Pat growing up. One of my first memories is steering his really cool corvette with him and dad. I remember driving with my dad and brother Mike around Thanksgiving time one year out to Pat's house. I think it was in Fresno . I was probably 14 or 15. He and my dad taught me to shoot a variety of guns using bottles and cans as targets. . He was with my parents when Clay and I told them we got engaged! I am also proud to have been named after such a great man. Paul, Jim, Bob, Judy and Vicki I am thinking of you and wishing you moments of p...eace and comfort as you remember your brother who was so close to you.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you; Love Trish, Clay, Cole, Jake as well as my parent's Bill and Karen. We are so sorry we could not make the trip today but we are all there in spirit!

I miss you so much dad. You have been the best father-in-law a girl could ask for. I'm so glad for the time we had together!
