JoAnn Jackson, 81, of Weatherford, passed away early on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, in Fort Worth.
A graveside committal service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at Tin Top Cemetery south of Weatherford.
JoAnn was on Dec. 4, 1935 in Seymour, Texas. She was one of four children to Willie and Edna Gibson. She married Howard Jackson and together had four children. JoAnn will be remembered for always taking care of other's needs. She was a devout Christian and long-time member of Rocks of Help Christian Church. Most of all, JoAnn will be remembered as being a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great grandmother who was devoted to her family.
JoAnn is survived by her husband, Howard (Bud), of nearly 67 years; daughter, Debbie(Jack) Billingslea; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter; and by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her children, Jimmy Jackson, Geneva (Cookie) Garvin and Linda Lowrey; and by one sister; two brothers, and one great-grandson, Bradley.
